| Superintendent: Doug & Julie Prcin, Alvord Assistant Superintendent: Debi Peyton, Chico The 2007 Wise County Youth Fair Horse Show will be held at : NRS Training Arena 309 CR 4228 Decatur, TX RULES AND INFORMATION 1. The General Rules of the Wise County Youth Fair, the 4-H State Horse Show Rules, and the following rules will govern the Horse Show. 2. Entry fees are: $20.00 per horse, plus $5.00 per class. Entry fee and entry forms must be turned in on or before February 16, 2008. Late registration deadline is February 22, 2008. NOTE: The books are CLOSED on February 22, 2007, double check your entry card. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION AND EXPLANATION SEE RULE #2 UNDER GENERAL RULES. 3. Any horse shown must be owned by the exhibitor or the exhibitor’s immediate family. You cannot show a friend’s horse. 4. Exhibitors may enter all classes but will be allowed to enter only one horse per class. The same horse can not win High Point with two different riders. The same horse can be ridden by two riders of the same family, but ONLY one rider is eligible to receive High Point regardless of age group of riders. This must be chosen BEFORE the show and designated on the original entry blank. |

| 5. Exhibitors must check in with the Horse Show Secretary before 7:30 a.m. The secretary will assign each exhibitor an entry number card. This card must be displayed on the exhibitor’s back during all classes. Show times are at 8:00 a.m. 6. All exhibitors must observe the 4-H Dress Code (hat, boots, long sleeve shirts). 7. No stallions will be allowed to show. 8. All exhibitors must use their age as of August 31, 2007 Age groups are: Juniors—13 & under Seniors 14—19 years 9. In case of a tie, the tie will be broken using state 4-H rules. 10. High point and reserve high point for each age division awards will be given for Speed Horse (may NOT also compete for High Point Performance, Department L—Horse Show— Performance). Only one horse/one rider combination can be eligible for High Point. YOU MUST DESIGNATE ON ENTRY CARD BEFORE THE SHOW STARTS. 11. All exhibitors must present a current negative coggins test (within 12 months) to the designated WCYF representative prior to unloading horses on show day between the hours of 6a.m.—7:30 a.m. Validation will also be checked at registration table to receive entry number. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED! 12. Cattle Classes include Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Team Penning and Tie Down Calf Roping. 13. Any exhibitor or parent/coach mistreating or correcting an animal which is deemed excessive by the show management will be asked to leave the show grounds immediately and forfeit any and all show fees and premiums. 14. Must designate Teams for Penning by 7:30 am the day of the show with the show secretary. 15. Ribbons will be distributed by the Horse Show Secretary’s Office. |
